Technip chooses Cascade actuators for its new eMAX marine loading arm series
Technip Energies Loading Systems has chosen Cascade actuators for its new eMAX marine loading arm series, emphasizing the importance of fast, reliable, and environmentally friendly loading and unloading systems in ports.
Marine loading arms (MLAs) are used in ports and on marine platforms to transfer liquid products such as petrochemicals, LNG, ammonia or liquid CO2. Traditionally controlled by hydraulics, this new generation of Technip MLAs will be fully electric and powered by Cascade Drive's heavy-duty actuators.
A strategic partnership
Technip and Cascade Drives have formed a strategic partnership to further develop and integrate Cascade Drives' electric actuators into the eMAX products. The signing ceremony took place during Technip Energies' 50th anniversary celebration in Sens, France. France's Minister of Industry and Energy, Roland Lescure, added a bit of extra flair to the celebrations.

The partnership covers retrofitting Technip's hydraulic-based MLA customers with new electric actuators, in addition to customers investing in new eMAX technology. Cascade's linear actuators in marine loading arms
Upgrading from older hydraulic systems to modern electric actuators can not only benefit the environment, but also provide several advantages.
