Scalable Electomechanical Linear Drive Technology is Showcased at Hannover Messe

Visit Cascade Drives at Hannover Messe

This year at Hannover Messe, Cascade Drives AB will showcase our scalable electromechanical linear drive technology for the first time! We are very excited to share with everyone from machine builders to policymakers how we have pushed the boundaries in force, speed and stroke for electromechanical actuation.

Our drive technology enables linear motion that's reliable and efficient, with superior controllability in different applications and machinery. We are ready to help the industry increase productivity and efficiency:

  • With forces up to 400 kN

  • Strokes up to 10 m

  • And larger models currently under development

It’s not news that electromechanical systems are by nature more efficient than hydraulic ones. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that it’s feasible for every hydraulic consumer to switch to an electromechanical system.

For instance, a hydraulic consumer with a low utilization and duty cycle in an extensive hydraulic system would be difficult to justify. But it makes perfect sense to look into the Cascade actuator in a machine where a hydraulic cylinder provides an essential and highly utilized function. A Cascade actuator provides:

  • Significantly higher efficiency,

  • Increased productivity,

  • Greater controllability,

  • Easier to maintain.

Cascade Drives reduce heat waste compared to hydraulics

The Cascade Drives actuator doesn't increase friction with speed, allowing it to operate over a wide speed span with the same high efficiency and control.

Our drive technology is very versatile, we are still discovering its potential applications. Our team of engineers and sales representatives are looking forward to meeting you at our stand G05 in Hall 6, for many interesting discussions!
