Cascade Drives Launches in the US, Spring 2023
This spring, Cascade Drives will launch in the US, by opening their first North American office in Charlotte, North Carolina in conjunction with the US debut exhibit of their electric actuators at the Mid-America Trucking Show, a major trade event in the commercial vehicle industry.
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Cascade Drives is a cleantech manufacturer of electromechanical actuators that can replace hydraulics in heavy duty equipment.
The American division of Cascade Drives will be led by Max Mårtensson, a Senior Sales Engineer with decades of experience in the commercial vehicle industry who has been helping to grow Cascade Drives in Sweden and globally since 2020. The new US location will position Cascade Drives to support North American OEMs and industrial manufacturers with production and sales of their electromechanical actuators.
Cascade Drives anticipates significant growth in the North American market for electric commercial vehicle applications of their TruEPS steering system. US commercial bus and truck sales have been increasing rapidly in the past several years.
The opening of the office is timed to support Cascade Drive’s exhibit at the Mid-America Trucking Show, taking place March 30-April 1 in Louisville, KY. The company will showcase TruEPS electric power steering for commercial buses and trucks, which is available in configurations for assisted power steering, steer-by-wire and fully autonomous steering.
“Many commercial vehicle companies and industrial equipment suppliers in the States are ready to take the next step toward electrification by moving from hydraulics to electric steering systems. The US office, combined with increased visibility at important trade events like the Mid-America Trucking Show, will enable Cascade Drives to support North American customers even more effectively,” says Mårtensson.
In addition to the electric power steering use case, Cascade Drives electric linear actuator technology also has applications for industrial pumps and material handling.
